Online lessons

Equipment Required

A laptop set up next to your piano or music stand with Zoom open.

A tablet on your music stand or the music stand of your keyboard/piano with My Music Staff Open.

All students must have their own email address (which parents can set up together with them) to access My Music Staff.

For piano lesson please ensure that your instrument is in tune and to pitch. This is required to access the digital resources.

Zoom Lessons

Lessons are delivered via Zoom. There is a link in your calendar booking on ‘My Music Staff’.

Lesson No Shows

If you do not log on to your online lessons the lesson will be closed after 10 minutes. No refunds are available for lesson no shows.

In Person Lessons in Medmenham

Lesson Location

Lessons are delivered at our home studio in Medmenham. Lessons are scheduled with consecutive time slots so please arrive promptly at the start time of your lesson.

Equipment Required

Please bring any sheet music or your tablet to the lesson. For woodwind lessons you will need your instrument plus spare reeds.

General Information

My Music Staff

Lesson resources, lesson notes, calendar and invoicing is managed through My Music Staff. Both parents and students need their own login to access the areas that they need. Please ensure that you set up an email with your child for them to use to login to My Music Staff.

Invoicing and Payments

New students will receive an invoice upon registration. Continuing students will receive an invoice 2 weeks before the end of term for the following terms fees. Fees for the next term are payable in the final week of the current term. You will receive an invoice via ‘My Music Staff’ with a link to make a card payment via Stripe.

Late Payments

If your payment is late then we cannot guarantee your lesson slot for the following term. Muziki runs a waiting list and any available slots will be offered to students on the waiting list.

Cancelling or Rescheduling Lessons

Muziki do not allow lesson cancellations or rescheduling. Your termly fee is for the slot that you have booked.

Teacher Cancellation

On the rare occasion that a teacher is required to cancel then the cost of the lesson will be deducted from the following terms fees.

Notice Period

You are not required to give a notice period to end your lessons, however, we would appreciate it if you could communicate your wish to cancel lessons as soon as you have made that decision so that your slot can be offered to another student on the waiting list.

Length of Lesson

Group lessons are 50 minutes. 10 minutes set up and tech check and 40 minutes tuition time.

Individual lessons are 30 minutes.

Cost

Group Lessons: The price of a 50 minute lesson is £9. Lessons are invoiced per term and you are required to sign up for a whole term (6 terms per year). Dates are available on the website. The term fee for 6 lessons is £54.

Individual Lessons: The price of a 30 minute lesson is £20. Lessons are invoiced per term and you are required to sign up for a whole term (6 terms per year). Dates are available on the website. The term fee for 6 lessons is £120.

Dress Code

Students are required to dress modestly. Nightclothes are not permitted.
